About this tour
One of only a handful of bioluminescent bays in the world, Falmouth's Luminous Lagoon glows electric blue when the water is disturbed at night. Step onto a small boat and cruise out into the bay, where you'll watch fish trails light up underwater and — if you're brave — jump in for a swim through the glow.
It's pure magic, and a totally different side of Jamaica.

Frequently asked
Is the water safe to swim in?▾
Yes — the glow is caused by harmless microorganisms (dinoflagellates) that naturally occur in the lagoon.
What time does the tour run?▾
After dark — usually 7:00 or 8:00 PM depending on the season.
Will the glow show up on my phone camera?▾
Faintly. A long-exposure setting helps, but the experience is best lived in person.
